It’s a boy, paper craft flipbook
I have been writing blogposts for Hobby Alternatief every week on Friday. I decided to write short updates here instead of the full translated posts. To mix things up I decided to make this a full post again this time.
I have chosen this name for this post because I made this flipbook as a present for my supervisor when they where expecting their first son.
My starting point for this flipbook where 5 envelopes and I build the book around it. It was a lot of measuring to get it the way I wanted it but also a lot of fun to make and to dress it up with all sorts of baby images and little poems.
I made 25 tags, stamped them all and gave them a bit of color and some shimmer, so all the colleges could write a little wish or congratulations for the new parents on the back . Those tags where then all inserted in different spots in the book.
I made a lot of photo’s from the process so I turned them into a slideshow for you. I will ad a few of the photo’s at the bottom of this post.
A few of the photo’s for this “it’s a boy flipbook” made the cut to be shown separately, you can also find them in my gallery with my custom work for a bigger view.
I also made a banner with little flags that spelled the boy’s name, which I had to make after he was born because my boss didn’t reveal the name earlier, of course I made the banner in blue.
I have lists of the materials I used for this it’s a boy book at my hobby alternatief blog posts. They are written in dutch with more details in there for when you want to know more and all the measurements. To translate them to english or any other language you can use “Google Translate”

Dank je wel Anita, weet je ergens vind ik het jammer dat hij alweer weg is. 🙂
Maar ik weet dat hij met liefde ontvangen is dus dat maakt veel goed.
