December favorites – JAC Challenge
The December challenge from the Jewelry Artisans Community was to make a jewelry piece inspired by your december favorites.
At first we wanted to skip this months challenge because of the festivities we all have and it would be a busy month, but then we decided to make it a small one this time.
Our challenge is to make a design based on your favorite thing about December. It could be Christmas, the winter solstice, snow, frost, snowmen – whatever we would like.
Because I had all my beads, wire and tools packed up in boxes I was allowed to post something I made about a month ago. I made a few brass tassels with bordeaux beads to go into the tree and I started with making 1. 🙂
Of course these can also be worn as pendants on a long chain.
Dawn from Jewelry Art By Dawn had little to no time due to the fact that she is taking a vacation in Asia at the moment.
You can follow her trip on her blog where she keep updates accompanied with gorgeous photo’s. She made this lovely wire Angel which can be used as a christmas ornament or as a pendant.
Caroline, our crafty chimp is into some new form of beading, she has been making the sweetest little beaded dolls one has ever seen.
You can see all dolls she made on her blog.
Catrin from Cat’s Wire has made a lot of december favorites, there are so many so I decided to make a collage for Cat’s december entries. The one I like the best has to be the one with the dagger beads. You can find a lot more on her blog, just follow the above link.
Just click on the image of the collage when you want a better view.
After the deadline Cat showed us all the other Christmas items she made and I think they belong in here too. Don’t you?
Feel free to visit the websites from the other artists to leave a comment or share with us what your december favorites are.
