Bead Store Experiences – August 2016 Blog Carnival
This post is for the blog carnival at the Jewelry Artisans Community and it’s all about our experiences with bead stores.
We have a lovely craft store in one the surrounding villages but I don’t go there much anymore.
I did go there almost every week before I discovered the internet
They carry a comprehensive variaty of beads and findings but the things I mostly look for is either not in their stock or way to expensive.
I do love to go to small bead stores though, when ever I get the chance. Just to look at the beads and to see how some new item look and feel in real life because that’s something you can’t do when buying suplies on line.
I have several online bead stores, that I love to “visit” to see what new items they have in stock.
And I buy a lot on ebay and aliexpress, only disadvantage is that I have to wait for 3 to 5 weeks before my items arrive.
So when I need something faster I buy from a Dutch web store.
And when I only need 1 or 2 items I try to go to a brick and mortar store.
I did like to visit bead stores or markets when traveling and when we where in France I was dissapointed that there wheren’t any close by. But when we went to Italy we visited a market with some booth’s that had beads and jewelry making supplies.
I did buy a few stones from an Indian market guy there.
Feel free to share your point of view about the subject.
I will add the links from our other JAC members when available, so you can read their blogpost about their experiences with bead stores.
Al mijn creaties kunnen in mijn galerijen gevonden worden.
Indien er vragen zijn, schroom dan niet om even een berichtje te sturen.
